Extractions
An extraction is done when a tooth is non-restorable or at the request of an Orthodontist. While I do many extractions in my office there are some teeth that are in need of an oral surgeon. A referral will be given that is often related to a patients’ insurance company.
Amalgam Fillings
Amalgam fillings are done because they are very durable and can be routinely placed. Insurance companies cover them without question. This is not always the case for cosmetic fillings and the patient is responsible for the difference.
Cosmetic Fillings
Cosmetic fillings are tooth colored fillings. They are resin based and can be placed on any tooth. They are more expensive because the materials are more expensive and the time required is greater.
Partials and Dentures
Partials and Dentures replace missing teeth. The lab we use to make our partials and dentures is exceptional and in town! Repairs are returned next business day!
Crown and Bridge including Veneers
Crowns,Bridge, and Veneers. Crowns are placed when a tooth has fractured, cracked, or had root canal treatment. Bridge work is another way to replace missing teeth without the need of an implant being placed. Not every missing tooth is a candidate for Bridge work, however. Veneers are for cosmetic purposes. They do not cover the entire tooth like a crown does and it minimizes the amount of tooth structure that is removed during preparation. It’s a two week process as the crowns are made by a fantastic lab here in town! When necessary that time frame can be greatly expedited.
Endodontics (Root Canal)
Root Canal treatment is required to save a tooth that would otherwise need an extraction. The process involves removing all the tissue inside the tooth and replacing it with a bio-compatible material.Then the remaining crown can be built up and restored.
Hygiene
Our hygienists offer regular adult and child cleanings, periodontal maintenance cleanings, debridement and deep cleanings.
Implants
These are placed in the jaw bone, upper or lower. I recommend Board Certified Periodontists or Oral Surgeons for this work and pre-planning with CAT scan radiology. After successful bone integration I will construct the crown, bridge or denture on the implant base.
My Lab
I use a lab that does human hands on work and not a computerized product. The lab technician has more versatility and choices in collaboration with me than any existing computer. True,… the patient does need another visit two weeks later, but rush cases are always possible!
